Tessellations
A tessellation is a shape that when repeated, fits together without overlapping or gaps. A tessellation looks like it could be sort of a jigsaw puzzle piece, but there is only one piece repeated over and over for the entire puzzle.
Tessellations
This week we will be working on creating a pattern called a tessellation. Read the attached file and follow the directions to create your own Translation, Rotation or Reflection tessellation. You only need to make one. Tessellations can be created based on many geometric shapes, but the instructions linked below are based on a square.
To do:
Read the attached file and Research how to make a tessellation if you need further instruction or examples. Create a tessellated pattern that repeats. Draw your tessellated shape a minimum of 9 times. Add the details and color to each of the shapes identically. There are numerous demonstrations of all of these techniques. Choose the one that is right for you, Post an image of your work to turn it in.
Please do not share your work outside of google classroom.
